Lighting is always a hugely important issue when it comes to your home. Perhaps you have moved into your new house and after you’ve done all of the decorating, you don’t quite know how to light everything. The worst scenario is if you choose lights that are inappropriate for the mood that you are trying to create. Functional spaces like kitchens and bathrooms obviously need a lot of instantaneous light that is energy efficient. So larger downlights might be your best option because they will spread a lot of light from above giving you all you need to adequately do what you need to. In the kitchen in particular, where hot food is being handled, adequate lighting is critical. But this also means no shadows, so it is often effective to have more than one light source that can compensate for it. This doesn’t mean that you have to forget completely about ambient lighting because when the kitchen is not in use, you can switch to something more aesthetically pleasing.
The same goes for the bedroom, but to a lesser degree. LED strip lights allow you to be particularly creative with how you choose to light your sleeping area. As a place that might benefit a lot from more ambient light sources, having the choice of being able to switch between larger lights and smaller, can make all the difference to how you perceive the room. Having a variety of light sources also is great for entertaining guests since it facilitates changes in mood as the day passes.
